The return of Roman Reigns is a hot topic in the WWE. With SummerSlam just a day away, this buzz has spread far and wide. Fans have been clamoring for Reigns to return since he departed from the wrestling scene after losing at WrestleMania 40. This has led to the speculation that he will do so during or after the title match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. Sikoa took over the Bloodline and exiled Jimmy Uso after Mania.

This led to his Bloodline 2.0, with him as the new Tribal Chief. The Bloodline 2.0 consisted of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. Despite a lukewarm reception to the group, the last few episodes of SmackDown have seen the group dominate all the top babyfaces on the show. However, new speculation states that Reigns will return with a new moniker.

Sources close to the wrestling business have stated that Reigns could return as “The Original Tribal Chief.” Reigns created The Bloodline with his cousins, the Usos before Sikoa took over. Once Reigns returns, he will reunite the OG Bloodline to take on this new threat. Another speculation is that this could go down at Bad Blood in October.

Fans would love to see The OG Bloodline take on The Bloodline 2.0 at WarGames. However, that PLE might take place in November, and there’s much storytelling left. Fans can also see the debut of Talla Tonga, who has already signed up with WWE. This has raised questions about Fatu’s loyalty toward Sikoa.

The fan theories state that Fatu is a double agent sent in by Reigns to keep an eye on Sikoa during his absence. Once he returns, Fatu will switch sides, leaving the space open for Talla Tonga in The Bloodline 2.0. However, all that is left to be seen. Right now, the burning question is whether Reigns will return at SummerSlam.

What if, instead of Roman Reigns, Dwyane Johnson returns at SummerSlam?

This is the next big question on everyone’s mind. Fans have been speculating that Dwayne Johnson is free to appear since he has wrapped up his movie. This will allow WWE to hold off on Reigns’s return. The idea is to build The Bloodline 2.0 to a level where they won’t just be a threat to Reigns but also to the entire SmackDown locker room. The Final Boss’s last interaction before leaving after Mania 40 was his ominous message to Rhodes.

It would be fun to see Johnson return and claim to be the real Tribal Chief of The Bloodline 2.0. This will also reveal that he pulled on Sikoa’s strings and was the mastermind behind all of The Bloodline 2.0’s destruction. What do you think? Do you want Reigns or Johnson to return at SummerSlam?
