Roman Reigns might be remembered through the generations to come for his unmatched valor with which he carried out his duties as the Head of the Table. But going deeper into this larger-than-life outer persona, all you can get is a giant heart that reaches anyone in distress.
Reigns, as a lifelong fighter on and off the ring, beating out his cancerous genes for years, is deeply in sync with a young star’s struggle in the sport. The former Undisputed Universal Champion once helped a student from Seth Rollins’ academy to get his ball rolling in the ring.

Roman Reigns’ journey to reach the top of the game involved an arduous journey starting from humble beginnings. The iconic face of the promotion has been suffering from CML Leukemia (aka chronic myeloid leukemia) for a while. The fatal condition propelled him to take a periodic break from his active schedule. But beating out all the odds, Reigns comes out as a living inspiration for countless men and women dreaming of making a career out of wrestling someday.
One such utopian budding wrestler from Seth Rollins’ academy felt miserable finding no penny in his pocket to buy a wrestling boot for his first match in his career. He approached all of his industry contacts but ended up receiving zero aid from anyone, including Rollins. While the Visionary didn’t help him directly, he referred him to Reigns, noting he might have an extra pair of shoes and the rest is history
The young wrestler named Connor Braxton noted, ”I asked how much he was looking to get for the pair, and he said he would ask Roman and see. Almost immediately, he responded and said, ‘Roman asked if you were a good brother, and said you can have them. He said just make sure you pass on the favor to someone else for the good of the wrestling business.”
This story proves why everyone loves Roman Reigns.
