Roman Reigns: ‘If The Rock Ever Wanted to Get Back in a WWE Ring, I am Definitely the Guy He’ll Want to Face Off Against.’

Even though The Rock is yet to return to WWE, there have been rumors of a dream match involving him at next year’s Wrestle Mania. However, The Rock has been involved in many dream matches at WrestleMania, including his fight with John Cena. But next year’s rumored WrestleMania match will be a very interesting one.

This is because his opponent is most likely to be his cousin, Roman Reigns. ‘The Tribal Chief’ is currently the hot topic in WWE. Reigns has been undefeated since claiming the WWE Universal Champion at WWE Payback 2020.

During his championship reign, Roman Reigns got the better of some big names involving Brock Lesnar and John Cena. But he is yet to get the better of his cousin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Tribal Chief recently spoke to Keyshawn, JWill & Max, where he revealed his thoughts about facing The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment on his return inside the squared circle.

Roman Reigns said (h/t: Sportskeeda), “It’s the ultimate alpha male showcasing; who’s going to be the big shark in the tank. I think, with everything that I’ve done, with where I’ve pushed this persona, and the character work, and my claim, my rightful claim at the head of this table.”

“Us being very close and like family, I don’t think there’s any other choice. If he ever wanted to get back into a WWE ring, I am definitely the guy he’s going to want to be facing off against,” he added.

Former WWE writer thinks WWE might have spoiled the chances for The Rock vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr. Chris Featherstone, former WWE writer Vince Russo, claimed he feels that WWE might have made a mistake by releasing Nia Jax. Russo feels this because Jax is the cousin of The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. According to Russo, this might ruin the chances for The Rock vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Jax shockingly got released earlier this month. Jax claimed the company did not mention her vacation status. Further, Nia admitted she was on a short mental health break and heard nothing from the company after she asked for an extension to her break. The next thing she got to know was that she was released by the company.

This might not go down well with The Rock having seen his cousin getting released in such a callous manner. But we all know that ‘The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment‘ is a professional. We hope to see him inside the squared circle as early as possible. And perhaps, we will also get to witness the dream match between The Rock and the WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
