Roman Reigns has been officially kicked out of his moniker as The Tribal Chief. This title now belongs to Solo Sikoa who has been looking out for The Bloodline ever since after WrestleMania XL. On SmackDown before MITB, the new leader of the family stable challenged his older cousin to take back the red Ula Fala and the moniker if he dares.
Although the Samoan wrestling star is yet to arrive at the scene and take back what rightfully belongs to him, he has already been given a new title by the rest of the Anoa’i family members.

There is no official confirmations when we will see Roman Reigns in the promotion again. Some sources claim that August may be the month in which he shows up. Until that happens, fans would have to accept Solo Sikoa as their Tribal Chief lest they get spiked much like The Wiseman. However, the Anoa’i family has already found Roman Reigns an alternative status to keep him at a respectable post while the WWE storyline continues brewing. Post a recent picture of the former champion on X, Reno Anoa’i wrote, “Three brothers. The chiefs of our Anoa’i family. My dad Le’apai Ryan, my uncle Folau & their little brother Anoa’i Sika Joe🫡 This is the bloodline🩸 these are our family chiefs.”

This appeared to be a shot at Solo Sikoa for claiming that he was the ‘Tribal Chief’ now. So, to backfire on his claim, Black Pearl revealed that Reigns is now one of the ‘family chiefs’ in the Anoa’i clan. Even if not he is the high chief anymore, he is not completely off the table.

This shift in power has also granted him a new neckpiece.

Roman Reigns gets new neckpiece along with new moniker
The Ula Fala is a traditional Samoan garland made from the pandanus fruit. The fruits are dried to reduce the moisture and then painted red for a person of significance to wear it during an important event. During his father’s memorial service, Roman Reigns was seen wearing the same neckpiece that he is wearing in the image uploaded by Reno Anoa’i. The difference between the Ula Fala that he used to wear in WWE and the one he is wearing now is the color. Since red is the color of the royalty in the Samoan culture, it would probably misguide the fans if he was spotted adorning a red Ula Fala during any event.

So, even though the wrestler has lost the title in the storyline, he is still held high among his family members. This could even be stitched into Roman Reigns’ future in WWE when he comes back to the take The Bloodline. He may have additional support from his family members before the predicted tribal combat between him and Solo Sikoa. Even if the title is not on the line, the possession of the Ula Fala already increases the stakes.
