Coming live from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, this episode of WWE SmackDown was set to continue the development for WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland. The most hyped event would be the anointment of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline 2.0. On the cards was also a promo by Cody Rhodes, a tag team match between Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. We also had Johnny Gargano vs. Grayson Waller. The main event was set for The Bloodline 2.0 vs. Kevin Owens and The Street Profits. Here are the results for WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown 7/06/2024 Results

Opening video package: The show opened with a video package from last week recapping AJ Styles’ fake retirement segment. It showcased Cody Rhodes’ beatdown at Styles’ hands.

In-ring segment: The Bloodline 2.0 opened the show. Solo Sikoa claimed he was here to anoint the new members of The Bloodline. Tama Tonga and his brother Tonga Loa were officially made members of The Bloodline 2.0. Paul Heyman was also reminded that he was at their mercy as they saved him from Kevin Owens. The Wiseman told Sikoa that Owens was looking for The Bloodline before his music hit. Owens attacked the group before being outnumbered. However, The Street Profits came to his rescue as The Bloodline 2.0 retreated.

Backstage segment: Sikoa was seen telling Heyman to make an official 6-man tag team match against Owens and The Street Profits. Heyman said it was a great idea and went to talk to Nick Aldis. The Uncle Howdy  QR code appeared at the end of this segment.

Backstage segment: We got to see Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill approaching the ring for their tag match.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell

Winner: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

The match started out great, with the WWE tag team champs displaying great chemistry and teamwork. Despite their best attempt, LeRae and Hartwell couldn’t keep up with the EST. A hot tag to Cargill popped the crowd. Cargill cleaned house and got the pin for the win via a Wheelbarrow DDT.

Post-match: Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark attacked the champs. But the duo were able to hold their own as all the chaos broke out.

Backstage segment: Nick Aldis was seen talking to Rhodes, who was fuming and waiting for AJ Styles. While Aldis claimed that there wasn’t any reason for him to get hurt tonight. However, Rhodes claimed that if anyone would be getting hurt, it would be Styles.

Backstage segment: Apollo Crews was interviewed before being attacked by Angel Garza.

Backstage segment: LA Knight, still on the hunt for Logan Paul, met with Aldis. Aldis claimed that Paul was at a Tetris tournament. Carmelo Hayes showed up, and a match between Knight and Hayes was set up.

Johnny Gargano vs. Grayson Waller

Winner: Grayson Waller

The match between Waller and Gargano started out fast, and both men tried to end it as soon as possible. Both men saw great counters, and Waller displayed new levels of strength. However, while Austin Theory was checking on Waller outside the ring, Waller used him as a shield when Gargano went flying at them. Waller got the pin using the flipping Killswitch.

Backstage segment: Rhodes was seen being held back by Aldis as Styles pulled into the venue. However, Rhodes made his way to the ring to call out Styles. Styles asked for a title match at Clash at the Castle. However, Rhodes set the stipulation to I Quit. A brawl broke out between the two as security tried to stop them. Styles was able to get a cheap shot on Rhodes in the chaos.

LA Knight vs. Carmelo Hayes

Winner: LA Knight

The new member of the SmackDown roster took it to Knight early in the match. However, using his strength, Knight was able to keep the young blood at bay. Knight paid tribute to The Rock, hitting a People’s Elbow before picking up the win.

Post-match: Knight cut a promo on Paul, claiming that if he couldn’t make it to WWE SmackDown, he would bring the SmackDown to Paul.

Backstage segment: Tiffany Stratton was seen talking to Nia Jax before Mia Yim stopped by. An altercation began between Jax and Yim before security had to break them apart.

In-ring segment: Bayley took the ring to address her upcoming title defense match at Clash at the Castle: Scotland. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven cut her promo shot before Bayley tried talking to Niven. She acknowledged Niven’s work in the company but Niven claimed she’d be beating Bayley at the PLE.

Video promo: Logan Paul cuts a promo claiming that he only facing champions, which Knight wasn’t.

Kevin Owens and The Street Profits vs. The Bloodline 2.0

Winner: Kevin Owens and The Street Profits due to Solo Sikoa causing a DQ

The Bloodline looked strong, but The Street Profits were able to keep them at bay. Owens stood his ground against both Tonga and Loa. The crowd popped as Owens got the hot tag. Mid-way, complete chaos broke out as everyone brawled outside the ring before Solo took up a steel chair to end the match.

Post-match: The Bloodline took out all three men, one by one. They threw Owens through the announce table before standing tall.
