Roman Reigns versus Goldberg is a match that fans have looked forward to since the latter made his return to WWE in 2017. The two almost collided at WrestleMania 36 for the Universal Championship before Reigns pulled out due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Goldberg calls out Roman Reigns
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was on WWE’s The Bump this week, where he appeared to promote his upcoming WWE Untold documentary. ‘The Iconic’ reflected on his iconic streak and his WCW days, but it was a question from Kayla Braxton that got him going.

Kayla asked Goldberg if there is any unfinished business between him and Roman Reigns. The former Universal Champion instantly said, “Oh, I would say that is one of the most mild understatements that I have ever heard.”
“He backed out on me at WrestleMania [36], he stole my move god knows how long ago, and he continues to perform at sub-par level.” said Goldberg. “Let’s be completely honest, I’m the dude who delivers the Spear, and I don’t think that he understands what it’s like until I deliver one to him.”
He concluded, “So Roman, it’s coming and I’m coming for ya! I maybe old, I maybe gray, but I’m still Goldberg.”
Unfinished business between the two
Goldberg last wrestled at WrestleMania 36 when he lost the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman. The original plans were for Reigns to dethrone him, but that never happened.
Chances of The Rock vs Roman Reigns continue to get slim as each day progresses. There is no way WWE, or both cousins, would want this match to happen without a sold-out crowd. Considering this, it makes sense for Goldberg to tease an unfinished feud with Reigns.

Goldberg’s wrestling ability is obviously in question. The match against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia peaked all levels of embarrassment. Then, he pinned The Fiend for the Universal Championship that left fans wondering what WWE was up to.
WWE wants a big match for the Universal Championship. In their view, Goldberg taking on the ‘Tribal Chief’ is a big money draw. If that is indeed the plan, then Roman squashing Goldberg is the only perfect way to end this feud.
