The Bloodline is one of the biggest factions in the wrestling world right now. From Roman Reigns to The Usos, even Solo Sikoa has gotten a significant boost in respect during their time as the villainous family faction. But for some time people have wanted one more member to join the league. That member is none other than former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Naomi.

Fans have speculated on Naomi’s return ever since her walkout from WWE. The most common speculation and beneficial return for Naomi would be to align her with The Bloodline. But this ROH Women’s Champion wants to fight the Glow in her promotion.

ROH women’s champion calls out Roman Reigns’ member for a match

After her hard-fought battle against AEW’s Yuka Sakazaki at the ROH Supercard of Honor, Athena, formerly known as Ember Moon and the current ROH Women’s Champion came out for the Post Show Media Scrum. Sitting beside ROH and AEW owner, Tony Khan, Athena talked about her battle and the future opponents she hopes to face for the title.

While addressing Naomi, who was in the building, Athena said, “Absolutely. Trin is one of my really good friends. We talk on a daily basis. When we both found out that we were in LA. She is one of my very close friends and she wanted to come out and support me. I hope to have a match with her in the future. I never had the opportunity in WWE to have that match.”

Before the walkout, Naomi was one of the only women to have stuck with WWE ever since the Divas era. Through the years, Naomi has been consistent with her in-ring work. Her Glow gimmick was also very popular with fans, particularly kids. She has also won the SmackDown Women’s Champion and her match with Charlotte Flair was also well received.

The idea of having Naomi in the Bloodline is also one that The Tribal Chief also entertained once. But even then, Naomi hasn’t confirmed or denied any kind of return. A few months back, her friend and former tag team partner, Cameron revealed that she is recovering from surgery. But Athena’s challenge might bring Naomi to the ring again.
