Dwayne Johnson had the most memorable feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin during the Attitude Era. However, Austin was not the only one with whom The Rock had a great feud. The Rock and Triple H took feuded at the time to claim the top spot. The Game and The Great One had a great rivalry while Austin was out due to injury.

Recently, appearing on The IMPAULSIVE podcast, Triple H gave a sneak peek into his rivalry with Dwayne Johnson. He recalled how they both came on the top together in a similar fashion while discussing with Logan Paul.

Hunter said, “When Rock came in, I was getting past my sort of hurdles here and was sort of getting elevated into a position. Rock comes in as a new guy and you know then our careers sort of do this like alignment with each other where it’s like we fight over the Intercontinental title as two guys trying to make a name for themselves.”

Further, the Cerebral Assassin added how he and The Rock were feuding over the same title after coming into the limelight. He recalled the ladder match they had for the Intercontinental Title.

Triple H explains how he and Dwayne Johnson grew up together in WWE, feuding with each other

As Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Rocky Maivia, the WWE legends, were having a good feud over the Intercontinental title. However, as months passed by, they too grew in their careers.

The 14-time World Champion said, “Then he gets into the Nation and goes from being Rocky Maivia to The Rock. He’s with the nation and I’m with DX. Now we have rivalry with those two groups and we bounce out of that,he becomes a heel and I’m the babyface. Then it flips, he becomes the babyface and I become the heel again.”

He added, “Then we’re having this rivalry over the WWE Championship. Moving up the line Austin get injured and has to leave and Rock and I, he put up himself as the number one babyface right line of Steve. I was coming out of DX, I was like, one I don’t like being a babyface. Two these guys needed a Darth Vader.”

Triple H further praised The Rock for his charisma. Hunter claimed he believed Johnson would become the greatest baby face once he found his personality on the ring.

However, the Brahma Bull eventually took his WWE run to a new level and his career only went upward. Meanwhile, Triple H evolved through many iconic storylines as he aspired for the ‘King bad guy spot’ to be on the top.
