“RIP… You Had a Good Run”: Rhea Ripley Shares an Injury Update as She Bids an Unusual Goodbye

Rhea Ripley‘s piercing got ripped once again! Ouch! Despite tasting victory at Monday Night Raw, she was left injured. Fans were conflicted at the sight of a bloody and battered Ripley in her bout against Natalya. Despite facing severe adversity, she retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship in the high-stakes match. Unfortunately for the female star, her last title defense took a toll on her.

The female star paid a hefty price when her inner lip piercing ripped out. It is indeed something she has a history with.

Rhea Ripley bids adieu to her “smiley piercing”

‘The Eradicator’ appeared in a match on Monday Night Raw on 3rd July as she defended her title opposite Natalya. ‘Mami’ was successful in her task. However, her opponent gave her a tough time. In fact, the brutal match even led to Ripley bleeding from her mouth. Some fans were concerned and had several explanations for the incident. After a couple of days, the current champion provided some insight into the incident.

Mami’s first tweet regarding the update read, “RIP figuratively and literally to my smiley piercing… You had a good run.” This confirmed that she was bleeding because her lip piercing was ripped.

It could also be that the piercing ripped out during one of the many stunts that the two wrestlers had to pull off. Whatever the reason is, it appears to have broken Ripley’s heart. After all, she loves her piercings and sports several of them.

She may be bummed, but Ripley is used to such incidents. Back in 2020, the star had five earrings ripped out during her lo Shirai match. The wrestler was bleeding from her left ear and it was clear that several piercings were torn. As per reports, doctors had to cut off some loose skin to help the appearance of her ear.
