

Popular rap star and Migos member Takeoff sadly passed away on Tuesday, November 1. The rapper was a huge wrestling fan and even made an appearance at WWE’s Day 1 premium live event earlier this year. After his sudden demise, his absence is being felt in both the hip-hop and wrestling communities. Many WWE stars and fans sent their sympathies to his family and fondly recalled his WWE appearance.

Migos consisted of Takeoff, his cousin Offset, and Quavo; the trio gained fame as hip-hop stars. The group established itself as one of the most successful rap groups of all time.
The trio made a WWE appearance earlier this year and accompanied WWE tag team champions Randy Orton and Matt Riddle to the ring.
Fans and WWE stars mourn the death of Takeoff
Takeoff whose real name is Kirsnik Khari Ball died after he was shot at a bowling alley in downtown Houston on Tuesday. Shortly afterward, as the news of this tragedy spread, many wrestling fans as well as stars sent their prayers and sympathy to his family and friends.
Takeoff was a wrestling fan and had recently talked about of his love for wrestling growing up. During his last appearance on ‘Drink Champs‘, he revealed how he and his rap partner Quavo imitated some wrestling moves when they were younger.
Furthermore, he also made a memorable entrance along with his group at WWE Day 1 PLE in January accompanying Tag Team Champions Randy Orton and Matt Riddle to the ring. After his death, the wrestling community poured in their love for Takeoff and recalled his WWE appearance.

Not only wrestling fans, but wrestlers who have worked with Migos also mourned the loss of Takeoff. Wrestling legend Ric Flair tweeted a photo of the group with himself and his daughter and wrote, “Rest In Peace @1YoungTakeoff!”
