WWE announced a new Hall of Fame 2022 inductee recently. It’s non-other than Big Van Vader. He will be the second inductee after The Undertaker this year. Vader was much more than a heavyweight pro-wrestler. He was capable of aerial maneuvers, especially the diving moonsault. His moves were ahead of his time as a wrestler.
Vader was a legend in the pro-wrestling world and wrestled in all the major companies during his time.

After the news broke about Vader’s WWE Hall of Fame induction, fans and many former and current wrestlers shared their happiness on social media. The Nature Boy Ric Flair was one of them and shared a wonderful message on Twitter for Vader.

The Nature Boy was very glad that Vader finally got the induction he deserved. It was a piece of historic and emotional news for Vader’s fans and friends. His Hall of Fame induction was long overdue, and the day has come now.

Ric Flair and Vader faced each other twice in WCW and competed for the WCW Championship. Vader spend most of his early days in WCW and won the world title three times.
Ric Flair was very happy after this announcement as two of his friends will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.
Final WWE appearances of Vader
Vader’s major wrestling career happened in WCW and NJPW. However, Big Van Vader had a small stint in WWE. His first run was only for two years, from 1996 to 1998. He left the company after some backstage disputes.
Vader appeared in WWE in 2005 as a ringside ally for Jonathan Coachman’s match against Batista. After this, Vader had a match against Heath Slater in 2012 on an episode of RAW and also appeared with other legends on RAW 1000.

That was the last time Vader appeared in WWE. He had some matches on the Independent circuit later. Unfortunately, he passed away in June 2018 in the hospital because of pneumonia and other health issues.

Vader had claimed in an interview once that if he had never announced about his health issues, he would have never stopped wrestling. He loved pro-wrestling very much and wanted to wrestle until his last breath.
