Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has been around the pro-wrestling industry for almost four decades now. Even after his retirement, The Nature Boy shares his insights about the business with the new generation.
WWE legend and current AEW superstar Matt Hardy recently revealed in an interview how he fell in love with wrestling and about his fondest memory about the 16 time World champion.
Hardy revealed that he has always been a fan of Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen. However, his fondest memory of Flair comes from their time in WWE at the WrestleMania 22 PPV.

During an interview with Josh Graham on ‘The Drive‘ podcast, the AEW Superstar confessed that Ric Flair was always his “guy” in wrestling and he feels honored to have shared a ring with him.
“A lot of my earlier memories were Ric Flair in the Greensboro Coliseum doing his thing as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Obviously, I was a huge fan of Ric Flair.”
Ric Flair trusted Matt Hardy with a dangerous spot
During the podcast, Hardy talked about the time Ric Flair looked for his help in WWE. Before the iconic WrestleMania 22, Money in the Bank ladder match, The Nature Boy approached Matt and asked him to deliver a suplex to him from the top of the ladder.

“Actually, when we did our Money in the Bank ladder match together, Ric pulled me aside and said ‘look, I want to take a big bump off this ladder. You’re the only person I trust to give me a suplex off the top. I know you’ve got experience (in these matches), and you’re good.’ That was like the ultimate compliment, coming from someone who I grew up watching as a childhood hero,” said Hardy.
The move proved to be one of the nastiest ladder bumps of all time. When Ric was on the top of the ladder and just inches away from unhooking the briefcase; Hardy rushed on the other side of the ladder and delivered a suplex to Flair from the top of the ladder.

What makes the bump so talked about to this day is that Flair was 57 years old when Hardy tossed him to the mat. This shows that Flair always gives his best whenever he steps inside the ring.
