The benefits of exercising are bound to help you as you navigate through life and get older. Many WWE legends will agree with this statement. Wrestlers like Ric Flair have been in the game for a long time. So, the ‘Nature Boy’ naturally has a lot of experience that speaks for itself. He recently appeared on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and talked about various topics. While talking, Flair also revealed a detail back from his wrestling days that most of his fans wouldn’t have known.
The WWE legend revealed that back in his younger days in WWF, he would carry the wrestling matches he was involved in on his back. Although he was obviously wrestling an opponent, according to him, they weren’t as capable of surviving the hour-long matches.

Joe Rogan recently called Ric Flair on his podcast. The two had meaningful conversations about several things. The WWE Hall of Famer even went ahead to prove why he is called a ‘legend’.
On the podcast, Rogan got to know that Flair used to have matches longer than usual. While the ‘craziest’ matches would go on for 30 minutes max, Flair’s would be an hour long. As Flair explained, this is because “in the old days, if you were the NWA champion, it was either you win, or you go Broadway.”
Since other wrestlers did not train as much as Flair, he had to carry the match on his own. “Half the guys couldn’t wrestle for an hour, so I’m wrestling myself. The last half hour basically wrestling myself,” added Flair. It was a problem because the tired opponent was often unable to justify what Flair was trying to show. So, Flair had to do everything on his own.
All of his strength and endurance skills were attained through his intense workout. Even after crossing the age of 70, Flair still hasn’t stopped being active.

In the summer of 2022, Flair had his official last match at the age of 73. The reason why he was able to execute his part in the match was because of his fitness. Even in his earlier days, he used to train, “Sometimes 9 hours a week. Twice on Saturdays and Sundays.” Although he eventually aged, his habit of training did not leave him.
He had once also once revealed his workout routine online. The intensity that it carried was shocking for fans because of Flair’s age.
