Rhea Ripley’s Real-Life Boyfriend Takes a Cheeky Dig at Former On-Screen Lover Aliyah Mysterio

AEW star Buddy Matthews is publicly dating the current Women’s SmackDown Champion Rhea Ripley for a while now. His continuous showering of affection on the Nightmare has been a kind of norm to the netizens ever since the couple acknowledged their relationship.

However, Matthews was previously involved in a romantic storyline with Dominik’s sister, Aalyah Mysterio, back in 2020. During the recent WWE Hall of Fame induction event, Aalyah Mysterio had been seen standing next to Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio and didn’t go unnoticed by his on-screen boyfriend.

Ripley’s boyfriend played a sarcastic streak on his former on-screen girlfriend, Aaylah Mysterio.

The 34-year-old AEW star shared the picture on his Twitter handle with a caption, ‘Aalyah Mysterio was on my left.’

Though the message was quite cheesy, there has been heavy speculation that the AEW star might build a feud against Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio with Aalyah by his side if he ever joins the Stamford-based company.

Matthew and Ripley’s real-life chemistry would surely add another layer of intensity to the family-based feud. Also, it would make perfect sense for both siblings to engage in a fight to prove that they both love their respective on-screen partners more than they love each other.

However, no matter what will the in-ring storyline demand in the future, Matthews seems to be totally impressed with Rhea Ripley’s grand victory in WrestleMania 39.

Not many hours have passed since The Eradicator of the judgment day created history from the SoFi stadium, California being the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. after months of speculation, Rhea Ripley finally succeeded in dethroning the Queen.

Ripley’s boyfriend couldn’t keep calm after the horrific win of the nightmare. He took to Twitter to congratulate his sweetheart. However, Matthews also acknowledged Charlotte Flair, who fought incredibly throughout the whole match till receiving a fatal Avalanche Riptide from her opponent.

Matthews wrote, “@RheaRipley_WWE v. @MsCharlotteWWE was incredible! Both ladies! Brav-F’n-O!” Buddy Matthews tweeted.

We are yet to see if Buddy Matthews ever comes to WWE to take on his girlfriend and Dominik’s unbeatable duo or not.
