Rhea Ripley’s Destiny as Judgment Day’s Mami Was Evident Much Before Her Official Initiation

Rhea Ripley has done great work as a part of The Judgment Day, as her heel persona adds to the stable. Fans have put her dominating power and attitude over. Furthermore, she has earned rave reviews for it. However, her involvement in the group emerged as an Easter egg before she joined it. 

WWE loves crafting engaging storylines with a bit of foreshadowing. This is for the fans who love to dissect everything. They provided a subtle foreshadowing hint that many fans failed to notice.

A subtle purple light on Rhea Ripley

Ripley has earned notoriety for using menacing colors as her background and on herself. This aligns with her character and dominant role in the women’s division. Soft colors like purple were never part of the lights used on her. However, some eagle-eyed fans pointed out that they noticed a purple light added to her during backstage segments before she joined Judgment Day.

As the history of Judgment Day goes, Edge was facing AJ Styles at Backlash. Thanks to a masked individual’s appearance, Edge picked up the win. They revealed the masked individual to be Rhea Ripley. She was inducted into Judgment Day the night after on RAW.

Despite the storyline, fans pointed out that purple was seen during her backstage segments. The color purple is the color of the Judgment Day. This was WWE’s way of foreshadowing her joining the group. Only a few eagle-eyed fans noticed this change in color during her backstage segments.

WWE uses colors and other methods to give hints and foreshadow heel turns during backstage segments. These segments work better than in-ring matches as the production value is higher, and they can make edits before airing. Here, a subtle purple light shown on Ripley hinted at her joining the group before she attacked Styles.

Ripley’s role in the Judgment Day

Judgment Day has recently been one of the best heel groups in the WWE. The group’s popularity with the fans skyrocketed thanks to the creator Edge followed by the next leader, Finn Balor. Adding new members to the group felt like a natural evolution and felt fresh to the fans. The group turning on Edge to kick him out provided more heel heat, ensuring more success for the stable. Her work in the women’s division, gaining multiple foes, adds to her character. 

Ripley was the group’s first member to win a title by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 to win the SmackDown’s Women’s Championship. The group plays hard and dirty to let its members win by interfering in matches. This has given the group a ton of heat from the fans. Ever since she joined, she made Dominik betray his father, Rey Mysterio and joined the group as the fourth member. She is a powerhouse in the ring and a brilliant heel.

She now aims to unleash her reign of terror by keeping the belt on her waist as long as possible.
