Rhea Ripley Was Originally Scheduled to Face Triple H’s Iconic Foe at WrestleMania 39 Instead of Charlotte Flair

This year’s biggest PLE will see Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley lock horns with each other. This bout will blow off the roof as two of the most dominant female stars will collide with each other for the second time at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

However, this is not the match-up that the decision-makers of WWE initially had in mind. WWE originally had pitched Ripley to square off against a former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion at The Showcase of Immortals, this year. Nevertheless, this update has irked some of the pro wrestling fans as they didn’t agree with the original plans of WWE.

Triple H originally pitched Ronda Rousey vs Rhea Ripley

When this year’s WrestleMania plan was laid out, Triple H had initially chosen one of his former on-screen nemesis, Ronda Rousey, for The Eradicator to face at The Show of Shows. But since The Rowdy One rejected the pitch idea, The Game had to change plans and choose The Queen as Ripley’s WrestleMania opponent for next month.

This news has created a buzz on the internet as fans poured out their negative remarks on the idea of Ripley vs Rousey at WrestleMania.

The WWE Universe claims the match wouldn’t have been of WrestleMania caliber.

Days after that, she expressed her desire to take a break from singles action for a while and focus on conquering the female tag team division of WWE.

Earlier this month, a report claimed that The Arm Collector has her eyes set on the Women’s Tag Team gold. She is pushing WWE to give her and Shayna Baszler a tag team title shot at WrestleMania. Rousey received massive criticism from the fans for trying to take creative control into her own hands.
