Let’s face it, Rhea Ripley is one of the strongest talents in the women’s division today. Ever since Ripley beat Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 in a very physical match, she’s been unstoppable. At Night of Champions, she made quick work of Natalya and retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship. At this point, maybe nobody in the woman’s division poses a threat to Rhea Ripley. Not just the women, but The Eradicator also can give the men a run for their money. 

The 26-year-old superstar took to Twitter and called out ring announcer, Byron Saxton, to fight her. Dom Dom’s great protector is probably the most successful in her stable, The Judgement Day. Last year, Rhea Ripley decimated Japanese wrestler Akira Tozawa in an intergender match. So is Byron Saxton next?

Rhea Ripley calls out Byron Saxton for a fight

Taking to Twitter, Rhea Ripley reacted to a clip of her twitching at Byron Saxton. In the video, Saxton can be seen flinching and falling out of his seat. The 2023 Royal Rumble winner tagged Byron and challenged him to a fight. As attractive as Ripley is, she is also very intimidating. Saxton is no stranger to being bullied by Judgement Day. During an edition of Raw last year, ahead of Christmas, Rhea Ripley told Byron- “have a brutal Christmas”. 

Will Byron Saxton respond to the challenge? It’s highly unlikely! Although Byron was once active in the ring, his days of wrestling are behind him. Nevertheless, the WWE staff member has been on the receiving end of some beatdowns including an assault from Brock Lesnar.

We will have to wait and see what happens when the WWE champion crosses paths with Byron Saxton during the weekly show. At the rate Ripley is headed, we may get to see her tussle with a lot of men going forward. The WWE star also recently expressed her desire to compete in intergender matches. 

Ripley says she loves beating up men

An intergender match wasn’t a rare sight during the Attitude Era. In fact, the late great Ninth Wonder of the World, Chyna, was a formidable challenge for men back in the day. Chyna defeated the male superstar and became the only woman to hold the Intercontinental Championship. Although fans loved her, others were not a fan of the idea of her beating up men.

And now, Rhea Ripley may be headed the same route. During an interview with Fox 61, Ripley expressed her desire to compete with superstars from the men’s division. She also claimed that she revels in bringing pain to men. 

“I would like to see it just for the pure fact that I also love beating up the men. I love showing them exactly who I am and proving my dominance. And it’s a different kind of excitement for me because you get to see the fear in their eyes when they realize that they’ve taken you lightly.” Said Ripley.

Fans have already seen Ripley destroy Akira Tozawa and also manhandle Rey Mysterio. It will be interesting to see Rhea Ripley making a statement in the men’s division.
