Pro Wrestling Illustrated recently released the list of the 2023 top 250 females in their January 2024 edition magazine. Rhea Ripley sits at the top of the prestigious list bagging the No. 1 spot. The interesting thing here is that none of the four horsewomen of WWE were anywhere close to the Women’s World Champion’s rank.
Charlotte Flair is on no. 21. Becky Lynch is sitting at the spot #29. Bayley is way behind on spot 41. And Sasha Banks (aka Mercedes Mone) didn’t even make the list. Breaking a 10-year tradition, none of the Four Horsewomen of WWE ranked in the Top 10 of this year’s PWI.

‘Mami’ has been dominating the women’s division for months now. No doubt she bagged the first position in the PWI rankings. After finding out about the list, Ripley even reacted to it on social media.
Mami is indeed on the top
Ranking at the number 1 position out of hundreds of women in the pro wrestling industry is not a minor achievement. For those who don’t know, PWI not only ranks women wrestlers from WWE but from all the promotions in the world.

This means Ripley not only defeated women wrestlers of WWE but other promotions as well to bag the top most spot in the prestigious list. Going to her X (formerly called Twitter) account, she tweeted her reaction to marvelous achievement.
She wrote, “Mami’s ALWAYS on top” suggesting that she is here to stay and will continue to dominate the women’s division like she has been doing so far. The challenges have been lined up for the top women wrestlers in WWE. It will be interesting to see if she will retain her spot for next year’s list or if somebody else might dethrone her.
