Rhea Ripley Pours Love For Dominik Mysterio and Calls Back to Their Infamous Thanksgiving Segment From Last Year

The holiday season brings the joy of Thanksgiving Day along with it. While many WWE stars are enjoying the holiday by being grateful for all the things they love, Rhea Ripley shared a message sharing how much she is thankful for having Dominik Mysterio in her life. However, she did it in her own style.

Rhea Ripley’s message for Rey and Dominik Mysterio on Thanksgiving Day

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Rhea Ripley decided to share a message on Thanksgiving Day in her in-ring heel persona. While she mentioned that she is grateful to have Dominik Mysterio in her life, she simultaneously mocked two-time United States Champion and Dirty Dom’s father, Rey Mysterio. In the picture, she is seen holding a Rey Mysterio action figure that has an “I am a deadbeat dad” banner in its hands.

Along with that she wished the Mysterio family and wrote, “Great memories!” The link attached in the caption is the memories she is talking about. The link is for a clip by WWE that shows Dominik Mysterio and Ripley visiting his father on Thanksgiving last year. The Lucha Libre was obviously angry and did not let them in.

What happened next was that The Eradicator pushed the WWE Hall of Famer to make her way inside the house. This was followed by chaos during last year’s Thanksgiving Day.

While the dynamics of the Mysterio family and Rhea Ripley have transcended from ring to outside the ring, a specific incident back in 2022 might be the catalyst that started it all.

Why are Rhea Ripley and Rey Mysterio at odds?

It is no news for the fans that Rhea Ripley hates Rey Mysterio as much as he hates her. She gets particularly happy whenever something bad happens to him. However, the reason why the Lucha Libre is not particularly fond of her might be his son’s affiliation with her. When Dominik Mysterio betrayed his father, fans noticed that he was being persuaded by Ripley.  Rey Mysterio might consider her to be a bad influence on his son and is not particularly fond of their relationship.

Apart from that, Ripley had another encounter with the Mysterio family. During a backstage celebration of his 20 years in the profession, his party was gate-crashed by Judgment Day. During this time, Dirty Dom was still his father’s tag team partner. After walking in uninvited, Damian Priest and Finn Balor wreaked havoc before Rhea Ripley entered the scene. She then went on to attack the Hall of Famer’s daughter present at the scene. This was one of those particular events which might have led to his hatred against Ripley.
