Despite not being on the company’s roster, Rey Mysterio’s 21-year-old daughter has been a part of several WWE storylines over the last few years. She last appeared in the WWE ring back in July 2022. It saw a heated backstage confrontation with Rhea Ripley regarding her boyfriend Buddy Matthews, who was back then doing a romantic angle with Aalyah Mysterio.

The Eradicator has been firmly opposing the Mysterio family ever since she teamed with Dominik Mysterio, who hasn’t been on great terms with his family in the storyline. He even went as far as insulting his mother and sister brutally during a past SmackDown episode that paved his way toward a WrestleMania match.

In every mischief Dom did against his blood, he had her Mami by his side. The Judgment Day member equally contributed to the humiliation Dominik brought to his family. That being said, it seems like she’s quite fond of Dominik’s sister, Aalyah in reality.

But, we all know, WWE is a script-based sport. It’s only the character’s immense talent and skill that make us forget sometimes that those angles are not real. The current SmackDown Women’s Champion reminded us of that truth once again by breaking his character on social media.

Rey Mysterio’s daughter recently wrote a sweet note for his 23-year-old boyfriend Joshua Thomas on Instagram and it caught Ripley’s attention. She liked the post, which essentially speaks of her no hard feeling toward Aalyah and the Mysterio family in reality.

Rhea also liked many other Instagram posts of Mysterio’s youngest daughter.

However, fans have recently turned their heads toward Aalyah’s current boyfriend, and are keen to know more about him and their relationship.

Although Aalyah flaunted some photos of them together on her social media handles, wrestling media didn’t know much about her relationship dynamic unless and until she took her fiance, Joshua Thomas to her father, Rey Mysterio’s grand Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year.

It was the very first time her boyfriend, who is entirely a non-wrestling figure, came under the wrestling world’s spotlight. While Mysterio gave his incredible Hall of Fame speech, fans were also invested to take note of an unknown guy sitting next to his daughter.

The couple often hang out together in various places and look adorable together. Now, we need to see when Aalyah will appear in the WWE ring again.
