Rey Mysterio Returns After 4 Months to Aid LWO Member on SmackDown 03/01

Last year, Rey Mysterio recreated the LWO (Latino World Order) with Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Zelina Vega. However, things fell apart when Escobar turned on Mysterio and injured the Hall of Famer. Mysterio was taken off SmackDown in November, recovering from his leg injury. This episode of SmackDown saw the high-flying icon return to SmackDown to help out his LWO member. The fans at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, erupted when his music hit.

Things seem to be going Carlito’s way during the Street Fight between him and Santos Escobar. However, nearing a victory, Carlito was attacked by Angel and Humberto. The referee could not stop the match as it was a Street Fight with no disqualification. However, Mysterio’s music hit, and he came out with crutches. Thinking this could be another chance to take revenge, Escobar approached Mysterio, who dropped the facade of being injured and attacked Escobar, leading to LWO winning the match.
