The return of WWE Legend John Cena has rejuvenated the WWE shows, which the fans have felt was stagnant for the past few months. The love and excitement that the fans had when they saw Cena return at WWE Money in the Bank PPV surprised the WWE legend. Cena, accustomed to getting mixed reactions from the WWE Universe, wasn’t expecting such a reaction.
Since then, The Leader of Cenation has been part of WWE RAW, SmackDown, and the WWE house shows. Another WWE Legend, Rey Mysterio, recently shared the backstage reaction to Cena’s return and how the 16-time WWE Champion has lifted the spirits in the locker room.

Rey Mysterio states WWE Locker room is thankful to John Cena
Rey Mysterio and John Cena have been working closely since the latter’s return and Rey’s son Dominik Mysterio. The trio battled the combination of The Usos and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on various house shows.
Rey recently sat down for DAZN, and the former WWE Champion revealed that Cena’s return had been a huge morale booster for the company and the locker room. Rey also said that he has asked ‘The Franchise’ to teach his son a few tricks from his books.

Mysterio said- “With John, he just happened to have a break right now, and he’s back. Now he’s not only doing TVs, but he’s wanting to do house shows as well. So that just tells me the type of character he has, the type of person he is….. I think we are going to see him more.”
“But he’s making the time, and I think we’re all thankful from the WWE locker rooms that he’s taking the time to come back and put in the work that once made him famous.”

The Summer of Cena is underway, and the fans are over the moon to watch Cena once again in a WWE Ring. John has been part of many dark matches, and WWE house shows for the past few weeks as the former WWE Champion is rubbing off his wrestling skills on these matches. It is undoubtedly great for fans to watch Cena in the arena, even if it doesn’t happen to show up on live TV.

John Cena’s decision to show up and wrestle in these shows is a testament to his hard work and discipline. Cena could have taken the same old road where part-time wrestlers only show up in major cities as per their wishes. But Cena’s determination is bound to be a mood lifter to the WWE Locker room as most of the wrestlers backstage view Cena as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
