The WWE Universe was waiting for Stone Cold Steve Austin to appear in WWE once again. And finally, Austin got into his wrestling gear after 19 years and competed at WrestleMania 38. “The Texas Rattlesnake” is currently 57 years old, and he wrestled his last match against Kevin Owens.

The Canadian WWE Superstar Kevin Owens grew up watching The Texas Rattlesnake. But, the WWE did a splendid job putting Kevin Owens against his childhood idol Stone Cold at WrestleMania this year. And while the match was amazing, The Texas Rattlesnake has been very vocal about not wanting to wrestle again because of his injury history and standard age.

WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin indulged himself in a No Holds Barred match against Owens. Stone Cold and Kevin battled around the arena before Austin picked an ultimate victory with a “Stunner” inside the ring.

Stone Cold Steve Austin manifested his feeling about his WrestleMania 38 match to Jim Ross!

After Austin’s last match, he shared his true feelings about his battle against Kevin Owens with WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross. On the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross revealed that The Texas Rattlesnake told him it thrilled him with how things played out.

 

“Stone Cold and I talked going into that thing, and we communicated on Saturday after the show. He seemed to be real happy and almost relieved that they pulled it off. He and Kevin Owens deserve a h**l of a lot of credit for what they did,” Former WWE Commentator Jim Ross said.

The Texas Rattlesnake spoke to Jim Ross after his WrestleMania match. In addition, Austin was relieved that they put on an excellent show for the WWE Universe in his hometown.

What did Jim Ross feel about Stone Cold vs. Kevin Owens?

The legendary commentator Jim Ross also expressed his emotions when he saw Stone Cold Steve Austin’s performance at WrestleMania this year. At first, Jim Ross was concerned for his dearest friend, Austin, given his age. However, the WWE Hall of Famer referred to the whole confrontation as a masterpiece.

Ross continued, “And to show you what kind of a ballplayer Austin is, he hadn’t been on the field for 19 years. He just didn’t look like he missed a step, and they kept the match in their lane. I thought that was really smart how they strategized and laid out that match.”

“It was just absolutely a masterpiece in my view, and Kevin Owens deserves a lot of credit as well. You got to have a dancing partner to make these things work. And Steve had a great dancing partner,” Jim Ross added.
