We saw a number of released stars returning to the Stamford-based company under Triple H‘s regime. The list includes Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai and some more. The reverse is also true. 2022 also saw a bunch of superstars departing, especially from the Women’s division. Sasha Banks and Naomi are the two prime examples of them. Now Alicia Fox officially joined the second group. At least, her Instagram story says so.

Alicia didn’t reach the height of success in WWE during her 11-year run in the company as a mainstay. However, the first African American Divas Champion was a notable figure in WWE’s Women’s division ever since he debuted on the main roster in 2008. Her unorthodox style of wrestling earned her appreciation from fans and peers.

The 36-year-old’s last advertised match under the company’s banner as a full-timer took place in 2019, after which many thought she was no more a part of WWE. However, the star later clarified that she was still with WWE and continued to make some sporadic appearances with the latest coming at Royal Rumble 2022.

Alicia recently dropped a hint that she was on the verge of wrapping his WWE run-up while she changed her Instagram bio, indicating his departure from McMahon’s company.

It made complete sense when she posted an Instagram story declaring herself ’employable’ and open to the future opportunities coming her way.

The obvious question that instantly pops up in anyone’s mind after her free agency came to light is what is next for the diva.

What is next for Alicia Fox?

Well, there is still no word regarding that, but she breaks the news on an optimistic note, which is clearly suggesting that she either got an offer already or has some better alternate options in her mind.

Now, while we are totally dark about what is her next plan, a potential AEW debut can’t be ruled out totally. Especially given Tony Khan’s obsession with signing WWE talent, it would be absurd for him to take no notice of Alicia’s availability.

Also, AEW’s relatively weak women’s roster at present can also be a potential factor in Fox’s jump to the promotion.

However, it’s too early to speculate about anything regarding that. We must wait until Alicia herself comes up with a fresh update on her future destination.
