After Shazam, a sequel of it is set to be released in 2023. However, the Black Adam actor, Dwayne Johnson, supposedly turned down a cameo role in the Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

Johnson has his own reasons that he feels are the best for the character of Black Adam. However, fans might have enjoyed more to witness the superhero’s cameo in the upcoming movie.

Unfortunately, the answer to this most argued question is No. This is because the lead actor of Black Adam thinks it will be a ‘disservice’ to the character.
The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez shares the information about the cameo offer made to The Rock for Shazam 2. However, Johnson has been reportedly turning down the opportunity. This made fans realize they might never see the fight that everyone was imagining.

He also gave reasons for his decision to not make a cameo in Shazam, Fury of the Gods. He said to Variety, “It would’ve been fine for Shazam having two origin stories converge in one movie, but not good for Black Adam.”
Shazam’s lead actor: I would love to punch The Rock…
One fascinating fact related to these two movies is the statement of the lead actor of Shazam. In one panel conversation about Shazam!, Levi said it would be a dream to punch the former wrestler in the face.
He said, (via Direct) “I would love to punch The Rock in the face…it would be a dream.”His statements clearly reflected his wish to cross paths with Black Adam, in the Shazam’s sequel.

Given their comic book history, most of the fans were waiting for the superheroes to face each other. Now, we know we won’t see it in the Shazam! Fury of the Gods. However, we still wish to witness them together someday.
