REPORTS: Dwayne Johnson and Ronda Rousey Poised To Feature In Two Epic Matches at WrestleMania 39

The whole WWE Universe is hyped up for a match between Roman Reigns vs The Rock at WrestleMania 39. This hype began to start several months later when Reigns excelled as ‘The Tribal Chief’ after winning the Universal Title in SummerSlam 2020. The fans are waiting for Dwayne Johnson to return to the ring once more for this feud.

However, not only Roman Reigns vs The Rock, but since Ronda Rousey has returned, WWE Universe is eager to see Rousey fight Becky Lynch. There is a long history between Lynch and Rousey and WWE will try to plan a feud between them.

Major WrestleMania 39 plans involve Dwayne Johnson and Ronda Rousey

A few months back, there were plans made for WrestleMania 39 by WWE. This was before WrestleMania 38, as WWE always plans one year ahead for all the events. WrestleMania is the mega-event show in sports entertainment every year and WWE always wants it to be great.

As per the reports in February 2022, WWE has already planned not one but two major main-event status matches for next year. Roman Reigns vs The Rock is in the plans, but Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch is also being planned.

Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter shared the idea about WrestleMania 39. He said, “The idea for next year’s event at SoFi Stadium is to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson vs. Roman Reigns and Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch as its two big showcase matches.”

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey have some unfinished business from their match at WrestleMania 35. Lynch pinned Rousey to win the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Titles. Rousey left WWE after and returned this year at Royal Rumble. There was only one instance where both the women had a stare-down and fans wanted them to fight this year.

However, Roman Reigns vs The Rock is a dream match at this point for the wrestling fans. ‘The Great One’ gave a hint in his NBC series Young Rock. He called his match against Roman Reigns, a WrestleMania caliber match.

Is Roman Reigns ready to fight The Rock?

After Roman Reigns returned as The Tribal Chief, fans want to see his match against The Rock. For the entire year of 2021, WWE and Reigns teased a return of The Rock, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Sometime back in his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Reigns revealed he would love to fight The Rock.

Reigns said, “I would. Yes. I don’t know if he wants it. So that’s kind of something that we do in our family as far as sports entertainment, professional wrestling, WWE. This is our platform. This is our family business.”

The Head of the Table is ready to have a match with The Rock. He recalled having a match with Jey Uso and solving the problem in the ring. Similarly, he wants The Great One in the ring to have a match of his lifetime.
