CM Punk made a stunning return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames months after his unceremonious departure from AEW. Punk was let go by Tony Khan after his backstage altercation with Jack Perry. This was the second time he was involved in such an incident following the events of All Out in September last year. But Punk returned to WWE and looks to have put his AEW past behind him.
Punk also appeared on RAW where he addressed the fans after being away from the promotion for nearly a decade. Known for his pipebomb promos, people may be expecting him to talk about his AEW tenure down the line, but it appears that won’t be the case.
According to Haus of Wrestling, “Punk is looking to move past the drama of AEW entirely & has no plans to address any of what happened there.” The former WWE Champion will be keen to start afresh and leave behind any controversy.
