The most common assumption about a released WWE Superstar is that they will immediately contact another promotion for a booking. Unsurprisingly, when WWE released Braun Strowman, everyone assumed he would get in touch with another company to discuss his prospects.
Now, Braun Strowman has opened up about the situation. He clarified that he did not have conversations with any company or promotion about booking him. However, he is open to bookings and anybody who wishes to hire him will need to go via his agent.
Let me just get this FYI out. I have not spoken to anyone about bookings. But if you wanna talk business the email to my agent is in my bio. Thank for any confusion you may be reading online.

Prior to that, Strowman was in a brief storyline with Shane McMahon. It started when Shane McMahon arrived at WWE and referred to Strowman as dumb. This infuriated The Monster, who was bent on taking revenge. After cutting a couple of promos, WWE booked Strowman vs. McMahon for WrestleMania 37.
Usually, when Shane McMahon is in a feud with someone, WWE puts McMahon over. Hence, in this case, the WWE Universe presumed Shane McMahon would win. However, in the steel cage match, Strowman stole the show with his unmatched strength.
There was a point where he prevented McMahon from leaving the cage by ripping apart the structure from the inside. It was one highlight of WrestleMania 37.
