Impact Wrestling has been making a considerable number of signings in the recent past. The Anthem Sports and Dixie Carter owned promotion ropes in another WWE talent.
Brain Myers is the newest acquisition of Impact Wrestling. Myers was formerly known as Curt Hawkins in the WWE.
Hawkins joined WWE in 2006 in their developmental territories. The 35-year-old’s debut came after just a year in 2007 at Armageddon.

They were known as Edge heads due to the similar look. Along with the addition of Chavo Guerrero, Vickie Guerrero, and Bam Neely, they were repackaged as La Familia.
Hawkins had a small stint with FCW. He also teamed up with Vance Archer and later Tyler Recks, however, these teams could not make any impact. Soon, Hawkins left the company
In 2016, after a year with TNA, Myers returned to the WWE. He returned under his old name but with a new character telling people to face the facts which resembled Chuck Norris.
He went on to create a WWE all-time record. Unfortunately, that record was for all the wrong reasons. Curt Hawkins had a 200 match losing streak.
Myres’ WWE career showed some resurgence when he ended his losing streak by winning the RAW tag team championships with Zack Ryder.
However, he was released from WWE in 2020 due to COVID budget problems.

In Pro Wrestling, one cannot predict the future as suspense is one of the main factors on which the business survives. It will be safe to say Curt Hawkins will definitely not have a 200+ losing match streak.
It will be interesting to see if the Impact Wrestling creative can revive Myers’ career and make up for all the lost years of the 35-year-old.
