Relaxing Update on Jim Duggan’s Health Hours After He Got Hospitalized & Left Everyone Praying

The last few weeks have been difficult for pro-wrestling fans, as the sudden demise of Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk shocked the world. Another scare emerged during a fundraiser event organized by Glens Falls Firefighters Association when the city honored Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

The winner of the first-ever Royal Rumble in 1988 suffered another blow to his health recently. However, to ease the concerns of fans worldwide, his wife gave a positive update on his health.

Jim Duggan’s wife provides a reassuring update on her husband’s health

Retired WWE Superstar Hacksaw Jim Duggan was admitted to the hospital during a fundraiser event organized by Glens Falls Firefighters Association. His wife, Debra, gave an update on Duggan’s health, which was posted online.

Debra Duggan stated,“We want to thank everyone that came out yesterday as Jim was honored by the Glens Falls Firefighters  Association and apologize to those that came after 3:30.

Jim was taken to the hospital and admitted yesterday evening. He had emergency surgery this morning and everything went well. We will reschedule tomorrow in Utica, MI for a later time. We welcome your prayers and we will continue to provide updates.

Debra Duggan stated that her husband had to undergo emergency surgery on the 9th. She thanked the Glens Falls Firefighters Association for honoring her husband. The Hall of Famer’s wife also apologized to fans who came after 3:30 as her husband had to undergo treatment at the hospital before the stipulated time.

As per Debra, Duggan is fine as of now and the couple will reschedule their event on the 10th in Utica, MI. She welcomed the prayers of their well-wishers and said she would continue to give proper updates on her husband’s health. Debra provided another update on Facebook on September 10th where she thanked Jake The Snake Roberts and his wife Cheryl Roberts for the flowers.

But why exactly did Duggan receive honors from a firefighting association?

Jim Duggan earned his stripes as an honorary member of the Glens Falls Firefighters Association

Duggan, who was born and raised in Glen Falls, received the accolade of being an honorary member of the Association. His contribution as a summer firefighter during the 70s added legitimacy to his claim of receiving the honors. He and his wife visited the city of his birth where the mayor named the day after him immediately after the Superstar did a meet and greet with fans.

The event’s mission revolved around raising funds for the Glens Falls National Fund. They managed to raise a sum of $2500. The association aims to support the city’s children in Athletics, Music, and Clubs with financial aid.
