Dwayne Johnson has built himself quite the stature in Hollywood. So much so that he has become the priority choice of many talents to work with. Some of the names on this list might sound familiar to you as Hollywood sensation Chris Evans recently revealed what he had to do in order to star in a movie with “The Rock” in it.

Despite playing a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one of the highest grossing franchises in history, he still raved over the concept that ‘Seven Bucks Productions’ pitched to him. In a recent interview, Evans revealed how he was immediately allured by the idea of the upcoming Red One.

Chris Evans can’t get enough of Christmas-themed movies

Hollywood fanatics last caught Evans on their screens following the initial release of his last film, Pain Hustlers, in September. The crime thriller is a Netflix original movie. After that, fans should prepare themselves to watch him sharing the silver screen with the “The Brahma Bull”.

During a recent interview with ‘The View’ the Hollywood star shared a lot of things regarding his career and future adventures in the film industry. This was when he revealed how he turned down another movie to work with the WWE legend.

Chris Evans talked about his love for Christmas movies and how they don’t happen often. This was also the sole reason why he prioritized working with Johnson rather than a ‘space’ movie. “Last year… there were two opportunities, one was a movie about space and one was Red One. I love space, but like I said, I’ve been doing this a while, and Christmas movies just don’t happen enough. I had to jump at it,” said Evans.

The WGA strike in Hollywood slowed down several projects and their immediate release dates. Red One was one such movie. However, since the industry is now back on track, fans can hope to see the Prime original film by the end of this year.

Despite the time that the ‘People’s Champion’ would be potentially giving to WWE early next year, his Hollywood projects also need his attention. Starting from the Christmas movie that was scheduled to release this year, DJ has a huge lineup that will keep his fans busy.

If you come to like the film, its second part will also be produced, which will probably be released later in 2024. Apart from this franchise, we will also see Johnson in eight other projects moving forward.
