Joe Hendry to WWE—Is he the next big thing or just another hype train?

Joe Hendry has exploded in popularity in recent times. This has even paved the way for rumors to suggest that the TNA star could make his way to WWE’s main roster on a permanent basis. As you are all aware, TNA and WWE have started a historic collaboration with both promotions profiting significantly. Many TNA superstars have appeared on NXT, but none have gotten called up to the main roster.

Joe Hendry, the guy who is currently the subject of the most expectation, is one of TNA’s finest superstars. In addition, the whole WWE Universe wants to see him challenge some of the biggest stars in the business. As a result, the wrestling community has been closely watching TNA to learn more about what is going on there, the chances that Hendry will be let free, and the likelihood that he will advance from one promotion to another.

TNA has seen a significant increase in its popularity because of this increased spotlight on the product. Their most recent event, TNA Slammiversary 2024, demonstrated this. It was a gigantic event, and the highlight was that the Tennessee-based promotion officially shattered every attendance record set in the previous decade.

NXT was not performing well at the start of July, with the brand losing 17% of its viewership. WWE had not cracked the code in giving the fans what they wanted with the program, only receiving 550 thousand views that week. This figure was quite low when compared to the figures the company’s developing brand had previously recorded.

When Joe Hendry made an appearance as part of the partnership, it was evident that people tuned in more because they were thrilled to see him. Viewership climbed by roughly 100,000 to around 680,000, which is a massive boost for any company’s developing promotion. What more would you like to see from this collaborative effort in the future?
