Mercedes Mone walked out of the Japanese wrestling circuit once her contract there had ended. Fans wanted her to return to WWE, but she ditched her old workspace to work for AEW instead. One factor that played a big role in her negotiation was the money that Tony Khan offered. However, critics of the industry had constantly been asking her to join WWE instead.
It looks like that group of viewers haven’t yet changed their minds and are probably not going to until some things are improved upon. Bischoff recently talked about how there is a drastic change in both promotions and how AEW is not using Mone correctly.

Eric Bischoff, who is popular for criticizing Tony Khan on various occasions, sat down in a Q&A live with fans, which he later uploaded as a video on YouTube. One fan pointed out that Mercedes Mone put out recorded promos on social media apart from her on-mic time during AEW shows. According to that fan, there is a sizeable difference between the two promos and she is better in the ones that she uploads on social media. Eric Bischoff said, “If Mercedes is much more comfortable with a phone in her hand, cutting a promo, than she is in front of people out in the center of the ring. Okay. Not ideal, but manageable. That’s the difference between Sasha Banks and WWE, and Mercedes Mone in AEW. One company knew how to produce her. The other company doesn’t have a clue.”

There have been times when fans noticed that Mone’s skills during a promo were not up to the mark. Now that Bischoff seems to know the problem, he believes WWE could have found its way around it, unlike AEW. Fans still can’t stop imagining her in the leading wrestling promotion.

Mercedes Mone gave everybody a flashback
The ex-WWE star played the gimmick of Sasha Banks once. You wouldn’t be the odd one out in the internet wrestling community if you wanted to watch her liven it up once again when she returned to the United States. However, unexpectedly, she signed with Tony Khan instead. This was because of the money that he offered. While we don’t truly know whether the Stamford-based company was in the negotiations at all, it is clear that fans wanted them to be. They can’t seem to move on from the fact that Mone is now among the All Elites.

A few months ago, she uploaded a picture of herself on social media. In the image, Mone was looking elegant as ever, with a different color of hair dye at the time. Her followers couldn’t help but notice how much she resembled her former gimmick. Even though Mone had already been introduced to AEW, everyone just wanted to pretend that she was joining WWE again. Reality may be disappointing for some fans but it seems that The CEO is getting what she prioritized over at her new workplace. Despite being criticized for not being good enough on the mic, it is unlikely that Mercedes Mone will move to WWE anytime soon.
Do you think her promos are not as good as before in the squared circle? Could WWE have turned things around for her?
