“Really an Irresponsible Thing to Do With Netflix, Their Money”: Ryan Reynolds Once Confessed How He and Dwayne Johnson Behaved ‘Irresponsibly’ While Filming for Red Notice

Unlike many of his co-workers, Dwayne Johnson is known to be one of the easiest actors to work with in movies. Directors love Johnson as he is a hard worker and doesn’t let up even after multiple re-takes. This is a big reason in the past few years, we have seen a ton of movies starring The Rock.

But contrary to that notion, Ryan Reynolds revealed something completely opposite. Instead of his hard-working nature on set, this actor recalled how he and Johnson goofed around on set.

Johnson starred in the hit 2021 movie, Red Notice, alongside Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds. The movie cost more than $200 million to make for Netflix, making it one of the costliest movies in the streaming service’s catalog. In 2020, while Reynolds was talking about the possibility of Deadpool 3, he also talked about working with Johnson on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

About their work on Red Notice, Reynolds said, that they “spend 90 percent of the time di**ing around, laughing. I’ve known Dwayne for like 15 years. So we tend to spend time trying to make each other laugh, which is a really irresponsible thing to do with Netflix, their money.”

Johnson also revealed later that on the set, Reynolds was one of his supporting pillars during the time his father passed away. One thing that critics pointed out in the movie was the chemistry between the two. Blending action with comedy is a strong point for both actors and they showed their prowess in this movie.

Fans of the duo could be happy to learn that the two decorated actors could reunite again for another outing.

But for fans of Red Notice, it is fortunate that this isn’t the only time that we will see the two stars in a movie together. Seeing the movie break Netflix’s opening day record, they plan to make a sequel to Red Notice with the same cast.

Other than that, rumors also say that Johnson’s plan for his second spin-off Fast movie will involve Reynolds. Also, along with the Deadpool actor, Johnson is also bringing in his best friend, Kevin Hart, in the mix as well. But this is all a rumor at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. Either way, it looks like the fans will be treated to some high octane action movies in the coming years from Johnson.
