Randy Orton had to forcibly go on a hiatus because of several health issues. Speaking about them, The Viper said, “I had a lot of ailments. I mean, I couldn’t stand for more than a couple minutes without having pain shoot down my legs.” Orton also explained the severity of his condition, especially with a bad disc.

When I would sit, I had a disc that was slipping every time I would bend. So, you know, on a plane sitting here my feet would go numb and I’d have pain shooting down my legs. Oh, it really sucked.” Randy Orton took this opportunity to express his gratitude for Riddle.

He said, “I got to give him props because that year we tagged together, I was not able to be in that ring unless I was in there with someone like him because he was able to take the brunt of the physicality. He’d tag me at the end I’d come in do you know I’d do my s***? If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have made it that far.” This was a big statement spoken by Randy Orton, who has hardly relied on anyone in his career.

While Randy Orton praised Matt Riddle for his contribution to keeping him going in the ring, he also thanked his medical team for his comeback.
