Following his WrestleMania 40 loss to Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns took a break from the WWE screens. With no chieftain to take control, Solo Sikoa took over the Bloodline, dictating all orders. The Enforcer first kicked his brother Jimmy out of the stable and introduced two more members: Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga. However, this management does not satisfy Paul Heyman, who has had no contact with Reigns since the Showcase of the Immortals.

However, The Wise Man was forced to recognize Sikoa as Head of the Table. At least until Roman Reigns returns. Tama Tonga is called the new ‘Right Hand Man’ of the Bloodline, and finally, Tanga Loa too is officially introduced to the group as he is named the ‘Infamous’ and embraced by the Tribal heir himself. But why did the WWE decide on the name changes of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa? Let’s find out.

Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa are not new to pro wrestling. As before coming to the WWE, the two were a major part of the New Japan Pro Wrestling as Guerillas of Destiny (GOD). However, unless one has been following the independent circuit, it is hard to remember the names Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa without getting the two mixed up. And according to the Fightful Wrestling Podcast, this is the reason behind the name change. As Kate Elizabeth from FightFul revealed, “I followed the New Japan product, and I’m still like Tama Tonga-Tanga Loa, like the Tanga-Tonga thing, can trip you up a little bit, especially with an audience that maybe isn’t as aware.”

Once the ritual was completed in the segment, Heyman tried to leave the scene. But Tonga and Loa prevented him from doing so. Sikoa took the floor to ask Paul to thank his teammates for saving him from Kevin Owens last week. In a trembling voice, Heyman obeyed, expressing his gratitude to the two men. However, Paul took the floor again to inform Sikoa that Owens aims to take down each and every member of the Bloodline.

That said, the Canadian appeared on the scene. Fearless, Kevin headed inside the ring to confront the faction. Despite being outnumbered, K.O. did not give in and was soon joined by The Street Profits. This later led to a match that surely established the Bloodline as a dominant force. But it was also a callout to Roman Reings.

Later, in a backstage segment, a furious Solo Sikoa ordered Paul Heyman to speak with Nick Aldis to get a tag team match that same night. Otherwise, he would ensure that Tama Tonga personally took care of him in the locker room. Frightened, Heyman obeyed the orders of his “Tribal Chief.” The match took place in the main event of the night, which once again ended in chaos.

After several minutes of combat, Sikoa used a metal chair to hit Montez Ford, causing his team to be disqualified. However, the action did not stop there. Sikoa emulated Roman Reigns by executing a spear to shred Ford before receiving assistance from Tama and Tonga to execute a triple powerbomb on Kevin Owens, whose body shredded the commentary table. The entire Bloodline raised their fingers to end the episode. While Sikoa proved that he surely is taking over the faction by stealing Reigns’ moves. What do you think? Will Sikoa replace Roman Reigns as the true Tribal Chief? Let us know in the comments.
