Is Adam Cole staying or leaving? This has been a topic of debate since news surfaced that Cole was working on an extended contract since The Great American Bash, and that extension ended following TakeOver: 36.
Now, reports have surfaced that Cole has a demand which might make it impossible for WWE to offer him a contract, unless they make a special consideration for him. According to the reports, Cole will not give up his Twitch account. And, having a third platform account is a breach of WWE policy where superstars cannot have such an account unless they share profits.
If this is the case with Cole, it’s possible WWE will not offer him a contract. If they do, it sets a precedent for other superstars that special considerations are possible. This would potentially create a war between superstars and WWE over special considerations.

Adam Cole could become All Elite
Considering Cole may not be a part of WWE any further, it’s possible he will consider other options. One of the best things about his extended contract was not having a non-compete clause in it.
The lack of a non-compete clause allows Adam Cole to work with any other promotion without having to wait for a couple of months.
Now, AEW had already sent a contract to Adam Cole when news surfaced about Cole’s WWE contract. However, there hasn’t been any update from Cole or AEW since then.
On the other hand, it’s possible for Cole to stay with WWE and keep his Twitch account if he stays with NXT. However, with a Twitch account, he will not be able to become a part of the main roster.

Essentially, it’s going to boil down to where Cole wants to be in WWE. If he’s okay with working at NXT, he can continue working there with an active Twitch account. However, if he doesn’t want to stay at NXT but keep his account, that will be a problem.

Finally, the situation at NXT could change since the brand is getting a complete revamp. Additionally, Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard are taking over production. So, the third platform policy could soon apply to NXT Superstars as well.
