The Raw Women’s Survivor Series team was confirmed on the recent episode of Monday Night Raw. Survivor Series will once again be the battleground for Raw and Smackdown to assert dominance over each other. It did not take long for Raw to start preparing for Survivor Series, considering the battering they received last year.

While the men’s team had qualification matches, the women’s team was announced by Adam Pearce and Pat Buck. This diminishes the value of the women’s match, who already have to play second fiddle to the men’s team.

Raw Women’s Team confirmed

Pearce announced the first four members of the team- the Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, and the newest additions to Raw, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke. The fifth member would be determined by a fatal four-way match.

Lana, Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross and Lacey Evans clashed for the opportunity to represent their brand at Survivor Series. All women got in a significant amount of offence.

Peyton Royce looked impressive and could be a credible singles star. Lacey Evans and Nikki Cross both managed to keep Lana out of the match, but that came back to bite them.

Lacey Evans hit a superplex on Nikki Cross, but Royce hit Evans with a German Suplex in an impressive ‘Tower of Doom’ spot. While the three women writhed on the canvas, Lana sneaked in and pinned Cross, stealing the victory.

An underwhelming fifth member

Lana became the fifth member of Team Raw. The apparent Team Captain, Nia Jax, hugged Lana to congratulate her, but refused to let go. She proceeded to plant her with a Samoan Drop through the announcers table for the sixth consecutive time.

Lana seems like an underwhelming choice to be the fifth member, as fans were expecting Charlotte Flair to return and steal the spot. Peyton Royce would have also made a fine choice for the fifth member, as she looked really impressive in the match.

Raw’s Women’s team looks set; although, it does seem a little lacklustre. It isn’t an upgrade from last year’s team, which featured Charlotte, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Natalya and Sarah Logan.

However, the road to Survivor Series is an exciting one. With Nia Jax, a former sole survivor as Captain, and Shayna Baszler in their ranks, they still have a good chance at the PPV.
