Vince McMahon has had his share of entering the ring and bringing the fight to superstars himself. Back in the Attitude Era, this almost became a regular occurrence. McMahon had personal feuds with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and many more.

He doesn’t really mind getting into the ring now and then and is also a fitness fanatic even at his age. He sometimes understands that some wrestlers need to be put in line the hard way.

Speaking of putting other Superstars in line, Vince McMahon did teach CM Punk a lesson on respect back in 2012. For those of you who may be new to WWE, I’m saying CM Punk had a match against Vince McMahon!

The match was set to happen on Raw, as Punk overstepped his boundaries a little too much. Attempting to set him straight, the Chairman and CEO of the company himself put on his iconic black attire and made his way to the ring.

CM Punk wanted to get every edge possible, so he assaulted McMahon from behind as he was about to enter the ring. He then proceeded to a beatdown.

Punk, by default got a large advantage. Soon, McMahon started getting back into the game and took the fight straight to Punk.

Vince McMahon beat CM Punk with a Kendo Stick

The latter was pushed towards the pole and thrown over the commentary table. Vince didn’t let him rest there either and began beating him down.

Vince McMahon then brought out his signature weapon- the Kendo Stick. He wanted to beat Punk up but the latter quickly escape from his grasp.

Mcmahon then turned his attention to Punk’s then manager Paul Heyman who was holding the WWE Title for Punk. “The Best in the World” could only watch as a dominant McMahon snatched his title from him and reentered the ring.

This was do-or-die for Punk who needed that title with him to escape. He then grabbed a Kendo Stick of his own and re-entered the ring.

The two quickly got into a whacking contest and sure enough, Vince held out! Punk was on his knees begging for mercy and the stadium was rocking. McMahon went to deliver one final shot on him when the genius of Punk showed up.

As McMahon ran towards him, he caught the Chairman with a low blow, giving him the decisive upper hand in the match. After a lot of laughing, Punk decided to finish the job with a Go To Sleep.

He picked up a defenseless Mcmahon and almost hit it when he was interrupted by Ryback! Punk was forced to flee but was then caught by John Cena who had also come in to help McMahon.

After narrowly escaping a Shell Shock, Punk ran into the crowd and tried to escape the stadium. This is when Vince gave him the ultimatum to choose between Ryback and John Cena for his opponent at Hell in a Cell.

While this may not have been that iconic of a match, it surely was something for its time. The energy of the crowd was great and the whole event was a success.

I’m sure CM Punk still remembers the beating he took from Vince McMahon that day. Mental wounds don’t heal that easily.
