WWE released Bray Wyatt in July 2021, which left the entire pro-wrestling industry baffled. ‘We Want Wyatt’ chants broke out on Monday Night RAW after the news of his release.
No one could understand why Bray Wyatt was even released by WWE, considering The Fiend was over with the fans, and he had a very creative mind which the WWE never utilized much.
Many fans also speculated if Wyatt would be making his way to AEW after the non-compete clause was invalid; the clause expired on 29th October.

While Bray seems to be teasing his return to wrestling; Kyle A. Scarborough has unveiled the concept of the initially planned burnt mask of “The Fiend” on Twitter.
He is responsible for creating The Fiend’s original mask and The Firefly Funhouse.
Scarborough on Twitter revealed the original concept, and it featured details such as melted flesh, bruises, and an exposed skull.
The "2 hr. deadline Burnt Fiend' concept.
Major rush job, but out of my control. Wanted to show exposed skull & dripping flesh. I was given the impression my concept was used when it wasn't, but that's a whole other story for a later time.#TheFiend #BrayWyatt #KultofWindham pic.twitter.com/rpZemE7iDn— Kyle A. The artist, in his tweet, stated that although WWE told him that his concept would be the one that would be final, that did not happen.
Scarborough said that the mask, which was seen on TV, was designed by WWE’s team. For this, the artist blamed the Executive Director of RAW and SmackDown, Bruce Prichard.
For the record, I liked what was used fine. The mask build was great, though I do think the design was a bit flat. (Design came from their in-house people, apparently).
Either way, the blame was placed on Brother Love, so if you liked it, blame him. 🤷♂️— Kyle A. Scarborough (@ScarboroughTWTC) November 1, 2021

One artwork shows something many fans speculated about regarding Bliss’s post-WrestleMania 37 run.
Unlike Bray Wyatt, Bliss‘ character didn’t get many modifications as she went from child-like to demonic. His work shows they pitched a few more ideas for her character.
Fun Fact: During the beginning of @AlexaBliss_WWE's run with #TheFiend, I was asked to mock up concept art for a potential mask/makeup combo.#BrayWyatt #AlexaBliss #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/LXIPv6SJjV

Another pitched idea was that the puppet friends of Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House characters would come to life, with Wyatt playing all of the characters by himself.

Fun Fact: the WWE wanted to bring the #FireflyFunHouse alive, but @Windham6 would only do it if he played the characters himself.
Only one was mocked up, and this would've been the concept for FFH Huskus. It was hinted, but ultimately shelved.#TheFiend #BrayWyatt pic.twitter.com/1DykU2B5Ch— Kyle A. Scarborough (@ScarboroughTWTC) October 30, 2021
