Before Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, John Cena and Nikki Bella were all the talk of the WWE Universe. With popularity greater than their respective storylines, everyone followed what the power couple of WWE was up to.
The two were often shown in backstage segments and had regular appearances on the Total Divas show. Cena and Nikki also had some funny moments with Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, who were also together.
However, the fairytale of their story was at WrestleMania 33, when John Cena got down on one knee in front of the huge live audience to propose to Nikki Bella, in one of the biggest moments in WWE history.

After winning the tag team match as a couple vs The Miz and his wife Maryse, Cena had a heartfelt moment with Nikki, after which he pulled out a little black box.
As he knelt, the crowd roared because this was one of the biggest shipped moments from the part of the fans. Nikki then agreed to the proposal, and the two celebrated in front of thousands of cheering fans.
This was one of the most emotional moments in WWE history. Probably falling short of the legendary reunion of Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth, this was definitely up there.
Unfortunately, things did not end happily ever after as John Cena and Nikki Bella split months after this moment. The WWE Universe was shocked by this news but backed the two.
