Celebrity influence is something WWE banks on every single year for WrestleMania and this year, the company is really pulling out all the stops, attracting fanbases from wherever it can. Despite the already star-studded list of names appearing, WWE hopes to bring one more man into the mix.
Triple H (Paul Levesque), WWE COO and close to the decisions that are in order, revealed that WWE is trying to rope in NFL star Rob Gronkowski for the grandest stage of them all.

“It is a possibility. I know it has been discussed,” Triple H confirmed, speaking to Pardon My Take. “I’m of the opinion that as the first opportunity with Gronk was happening and we were meeting with him around the Super Bowl, you kind of don’t know what Gronk is going to do until Gronk does what he’s going to do.”
“You can have a lot of conversations but until he actually shows up, I don’t know if it’s going to happen. There have been conversations around that. As always, there’s going to be a lot of celebrity influence,” he explained.
Rob Gronkowski is no stranger to the WWE ring
Rob Gronkowski won the Super Bowl this year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will be the local hero appearing at WrestleMania should he take up this offer. Despite having a career as a Tight Ender in NFL, he is no stranger to the WWE ring.
In 2017, Gronk was involved in an altercation with Jinder Mahal during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33. He supported his friend Mojo Rawley to succeed in the same match.
Furthermore, Gronkowski is also a former 24/7 Champion, winning the title after a sneaky aerial attack. He has made several appearances in WWE and could add to that number in a few weeks.

Vince McMahon has been able to bring in some big names as part of the celebrity quotient of this year’s Mania. Grammy award-winning Latin rapper Bad Bunny is booked for an actual match against The Miz to settle their rivalry, while famous YouTuber Logan Paul will accompany Sami Zayn in his match.
WWE recently announced that Bebe Rexha will also be singing the National Anthem of the USA at the event, and the company may bring in more names as we near WrestleMania.
