In a recent post on Facebook, World-famous rapper Lil Wayne acknowledged this rivalry as one of the greatest ever. He placed it higher than the legendary debate that runs between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. 

For years, basketball fans and critics have compared LeBron and Jordan to decide who the greatest of all-time in the sport is. The two have extremely impressive stats, which makes the debate a close-cut competition. 

According to Lil Wayne, however, the debate for the greatest of all time in Wrestling is much closer as fans have to choose between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock. 

The two stars influenced the professional wrestling industry like never before. Both had huge authority defying characters that caught on well with the rebellious audience. The two were the pinnacle of entertainment and were WWE’s hottest names.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs The Rock saw WWE hit its peak

When they were pitted against each other, WWE hit its peak with huge ratings. The rivalry lasted a good 4 years involving multiple showdowns between the two. Austin has won more encounters against his foe, but The Rock managed to get the last laugh in a dramatic win in 2003 at WrestleMania XIX in what would be Austin’s last match.

WWE fans struggle to choose between the two, given their immense contributions to the sport. The fact that they were such influential athletes makes it nearly impossible to pick one.
