If you think the mongoose and the cobra are unlikely friends, how about a Viper and the Bro? In one of the most shocking turn of events, Randy Orton actually set aside his differences and teamed up with Riddle, a man who fans thought would be the person he feuds with next.

Coming off an upsetting defeat to ‘The Bro’ last week on Raw, Orton didn’t know where to show his face. An experienced veteran in the business beaten by a relatively new Superstar surely doesn’t read lightly in the locker room.

‘The Viper’ was looking for revenge but ended up forming a temporary alliance with Riddle! The two were booked in a match against former members of the Hurt Business, Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin, both of whom have been struggling since Bobby Lashley and MVP betrayed them.

Randy Orton entered the tag team format for the first time in months and really seemed to pair well with the former united Stated Champion. The two Superstars combined agility with experience and immediately gained the upper hand over their opponents.

Randy Orton paired up well with Riddle

Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin gained the advantage at one point, teaming up against ‘The Bro.’ But the two could not counter the ferocity of Randy Orton, who was just a class apart from the rest.

Alexander has never seen ‘RKO outta nowhere’ videos and made the fatal mistake of going airborne with ‘The Viper’ in the center of the ring. With enough time to judge his form and speed, Orton hit a quick RKO to put Alexander out of the equation.

Riddle and Orton ended up winning the match via pinfall and handed Alexander and Benjamin yet another loss. However, this could be the start of an interesting new tag team.

Although Randy Orton is a man that prefers hunting alone, Matt Riddle’s energy is just what he may need to get back up after a mentally draining feud with ‘The Fiend’.

It was exciting to see an RKO out of nowhere for the first time in ages, and Cedric Alexander sold it perfectly. The finisher is known for its adaptability in every situation, and we will have to wait and see what’s up those sleeves. Who knows, Riddle himself might become the unlucky recipient of the RKO soon!
