Pat McAfee received a tough present on Christmas last year when news broke out that he was pulled from NXT TV. This meant that the heel wouldn’t compete in the ring until further notice.

Since McAfee is in hot form and has earned praise from Hall of Famers like Stone Cold, it is clear that WWE has plans for the NFL star. However, those plans may be more imminent than we expected.

In a recent segment on the Pat McAfee Show, the Superstar teased his appearance in the Royal Rumble that is set to take place on January 31. McAfee will apparently enter as #30, which is the most advantageous number in the match.

“Is that what people are saying? I have been fasting, haven’t I? People have been noticing,” boasted McAfee. “I am in some shape!”

The former NFL punter revealed that he has been intermittently fasting to lose the extra with and get in shape.

“Yesterday I forgot to eat for two of the hours, I was off for 24 hours on for 3. Yeah, I’ve been doing the intermittent fasting, Terry crews didn’t do anything else, just the intermittent fasting and you what he looks (like),” said McAfee.

Pat McAfee could be named as the #30 entrant on WWE Backstage

The #30 entrant of the Rumble will be revealed on January 29 on the comeback episode of WWE Backstage. The show will be hosted by Renee Young and Booker T along with a guest appearance from Paige.

Many expect the #30 to be a big surprise, but not a very huge name since WWE saves the stunners for the match itself. Pat McAfee would be the perfect pick for the slot.

Pat McAfee may enter at #30 but will probably not be the one pointing to the sign in the end. WWE’s faith in the star is visible, and we could eventually see him on Raw or SmackDown.
