Damian Priest has already begun turning ripples into waves following his debut on WWE Raw. Fans are optimistic on his run in the main roster and he has already received a motivational push from WWE legend and Royal Rumble 2021 Winner Edge.

Priest is working with latin rapper Bad Bunny against Miz and John Morrison and things look good for him as a Superstar. However, ‘The Archer of Infamy’ may not have burned all bridges in NXT yet.

In a recent interview with SK Wrestling, Damian Priest expressed a number of regrets and dissatisfactions about his life in NXT, and feels a lot more could have been done by him before making the move to Raw.

“There’s still a lot that I didn’t accomplish that I would have liked to and I would say this. I mean, hey Finn Balor did it, you know. He achieved success on Raw and SmackDown and then continued achieving success in NXT,” explained Priest.

Damian Priest feels a lot was left unaccomplished in NXT

Drawing comparison to his NXT colleague Finn Bálor, Priest believes that there should have been a window of time where hew as the main man of NXT.

“It goes without saying that everybody’s expecting him (Bálor) to at some point one day to again be successful on Raw and SmackDown. So, you never know. But yeah, there is something. I wouldn’t say disappointed as far as like before I left. But I am disappointed just in the sense that I didn’t win the championship,” admits Priest.

“Not because I moved on or anything. Just in general like I wanted to be the champion, I wanted to be the guy. So, I still believe that there is a time for that. But yeah, there’s still a lot that I feel that was unaccomplished in NXT,” concluded the Superstar.

Damian Priest won NXT’s North American Championship and looked set to enter the main title picture with Finn Bálor. However that push never came and Priest was sent up directly.

Like Keith Lee, Priest may also have wanted to win all the gold before heading off to the bigger picture. Judging by his work in th ring, there’s no reason why he should have been stopped from getting that push. Perhaps in the future he may return to NXT to reconquer what was never his.
