Kurt Angle was one of the biggest names in wrestling in the early 2000s and is now one of the greatest of all time for his work in the business.
From winning the Olympic Gold to the World Championship in WWE to Impact Wrestling, Angle has truly done it all. ‘The Wrestling Machine’ last performed at WrestleMania 35 in a mid-card match against Baron Corbin in what was thought to be his retirement match and farewell from WWE. However, Angle has teased a return to the company 2 years after his farewell.

Speaking to Hannibal TV, the former WWE Champion revealed that he was currently involved in a project with WWE, 2 good years after his supposed retirement! “I have something going on with WWE right now and it most likely will materialize,” said Kurt.
“I can’t talk about it but that’s what I’m waiting on and I don’t wanna mess that up. The company’s been so good to me and I wanna be loyal to them.” [H/T Alex McCarthy]
The 6-time World Champion is extremely fit for his age and surely has it in him for one last run, be it a one-off or a build-up. However, if he does return to WWE, it would probably not be as a wrestler, but as a corporate figure such as Adam Pearce.
Kurt Angle could revive his corporate role on Raw
When Angle returned to WWE initially, he was General Manager of Raw and that is a role he could reprise. There is also a possibility of him being part of the creative team or as a mentor in the Performance Center.
However, it would be foolish to debunk the thought of his return to the ring, given how it all ended. The fans and angle himself were not thrilled at how WWE booked him for a final storyline or farewell match, especially since it was mid-card.

For a man of his caliber and status, it should’ve been against someone he has a history with, preferably John Cena or even Brock Lesnar. We will have to closely follow Angle to see what exactly this work is about and if WWE intends to bring him back.

Whether it is a build-up for the return of Jason Jordan, a revised final run, or a non-competitive role, WWE fans would be glad to see Kurt Angle back in action.
