Karrion Kross walked into a match with four of the best challengers NXT had to offer and walked out with those four men on the floor. At TakeOver: In Your House, ‘The Herald of Doomsday’ decimated his opponents and fought through all odds to retain his NXT Championship.

A king’s throne is never at ease, and the heavyweight has already received another challenge at his doorstep. However, this man isn’t like any he’s ever faced before. In a recent post on Twitter, former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman expressed his desire to square off with Kross in the ring.

Not backing down, Karrion Kross accepted the challenge and assured Strowman that he would always be preparing for it. Plenty of fans probably let out a sigh of ‘what could have been’, given that Braun is no longer with WWE.

In what was a shocker, the WWE released the Superstar a couple of weeks ago. As one of their biggest assets in size and muscle power, fans never believed WWE would part ways with Strowman. However, as part of budget cuts, his name was amongst those released.

Karrion Kross is undisputedly the best in WWE NXT

Karrion Kross is just getting started. After being denied an initial run as NXT Champion due to an upsetting injury, he has returned and taken the brand by storm. Alongside his partner Scarlett, he has brought a whole new level to the title.

The bodies he racked up today include Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, and Kyle O’Reilly, all of whom are respected competitors on the roster. Kross also ended Finn Balor’s reign which hands him the undisputed status.

In the post-event media call, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels even praised the Champion. He joked that the main event was like four race cars in the ring with a monster truck (Karrion Kross). He added that the fact that Kross was not of NXT mold made him far more appealing to fans.

Triple H also lauded ‘The Herald of Doomsday’, highlighting his ability and skill level.

Given that Karrion Kross has expressed his desire not to stay in NXT forever, we could see him head on to Raw or SmackDown soon. Although, we do hope that he locks eyes with Braun Strowman down the line, be it in WWE or elsewhere.
