In a recent interview with CBS Sports, ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ analyzed all three options and listed the benefits of having each one of them. He particularly found the Drew McIntyre feud sensible and energetic but was also drawn towards Roman and Bálor.

“Equally compelling is a guy like Roman Reigns, who I feel has been unleashed and been allowed to get the guy out that I always knew was in there,” said Edge. “It’s really exciting to see a performer clicking on so many levels and telling amazing stories. I look at that and I think, ‘Whoa, man, that would be fun.’”

“It’s an entirely different dynamic than Drew, and it would be an entirely different story,” explained the WWE Legend. “Maybe it’s not based on respect — it’s Rocky and Apollo Creed. Then I see a guy like Balor who has never been better, and that’s exciting too. It’s an embarrassment of riches, is what it is.”

Edge may pick Finn Bálor as his WrestleMania opponent on NXT

WWE revealed that Edge will be making an appearance today night on NXT after the Superstar teased it himself. We can only expect him to challenge the NXT Champion Finn Bálor in what would make a huge WrestleMania match.

There is also an off chance that ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ is merely exploring his options before finally naming a choice. He interrupted Drew McIntyre on Raw this week, and his appearance on NXT could b the next step of the way.

Considering that SmackDown is at the end of the week, we may see Edge choose an opponent in Roman Reigns, whose feud with Kevin Owens will probably not last till WrestleMania.
