Over the years, John Cena has become synonymous with WWE. Even though he hasn’t appeared on Raw or SmackDown for nearly 2 years now, fans still have his name on their lips, and it’s clear that he is as they call it, ‘GOATed’.

With that thought in the air, the question now arises- is John Cena the Greatest WWE Superstar of all time?

When it comes to the ring, there’s no one that has accomplished as much as ‘The Cenator’, who competed for nearly two decades in a character that was the face of the company for years. In his prime, Cena was on top of the competition at every turn and stayed there for years until Roman Reigns was handed the torch.

As the man of the company, WWE did not need to look further than Cena, who carried the company through thick and thin. As the lead merchandise seller, his act was one that never got old.

Hailed as the man with the Golden Shovel, Cena met and defeated some of the strongest opponents and managed to overcome every hurdle. Apart from his immense popularity in the WWE fanbase, he also has one achievement that can justify his spot as the greatest.

John Cena is the most decorated WWE Superstar of all time

John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and ties Ric Flair as the WWE Superstar with the most World Championship reigns. This supreme statistic has kept him at the top of the power rankings. Undoubtedly, he is one of the most decorated Superstars in WWE history.

Fans would argue that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took the cake due to his promo skills or Stone Cold Steve Austin due to his popularity and relevance during the Attitude Era, but through it all, Cena has already mastered these arts.

He has demonstrated his flawless ability at delivering promos time and again in the ring and has always managed to impress and entertain with his ageless wrestling skills.

Realistically, one man that can compete with him is The Undertaker himself, whose massive 30-year career in WWE speaks for itself. ‘The Deadman’ shadows everyone in this respect and stands as close conception to John Cena as the greatest.

If Cena does manage to break Flair’s record and claim that 17th World Championship, there would be no denying his claim to the throne at the top of the pro wrestling mountain.
